Orange Developer Programme

http://www.orangepartner.com/

What is Orange Partner?

It's a programme for 3rd parties... helping you to create and provide compelling products and
services with Orange...

Why should you be interested in joining?

If you're a 3rd party interested in producing mobile applications and content, or any converged service that Orange could sell to our millions of customers, then you should join the programme and get your solutions in the hands of Orange customers.

Or if you're producing web applications into which you'd like to integrate Orange functionality
(sms, mms, email) or Orange services (for example, our ‘contact everyone' service) then you should join the programme and use our APIs.

How much is it to join?

Absolutely nothing at all.

It's in our interest to help you develop products and services for Orange.
And it's in our interest to help you develop your own web applications and services using Orange APIs.

Will I be in good company?

Yes. Orange Partner has 63,000 members, all using the programme in different ways for different reasons. Much of what we provide is made available online (through the website), and some is through physical events and workshops.

And then, when you need one-to-one support for whatever reason, we're here to provide it to our premium members.

What's a premium member?

Good question. To find out more about membership and premium membership, click on the
‘joining the programme' and ‘what do you get?t tabs at the top of this page

Betavine

www.vodafonebetavine.com

Betavine is the open mobile application community: a place where anyone can come to find and share information and experiences about making applications on any technology platform whatsoever.

While Betavine is a Vodafone project, it is in no way limited in its scope to Vodafone technologies for platforms. We seek to support the whole mobile application community.

Applications are available for all to download with the capability of rating and passing valuable feedback to the developer. This enables the developer to iron out technical glitches and compatibility issues to improve the quality of their apps. Download some apps and feedback your rating.

The Resources section enables developers to explore opportunities with emerging technologies with guides and tutorials for getting started.

The Community section of the site is all about sharing knowledge and experiences. A number of topics are available with information from both industry and Vodafone sources for you to learn more or comment on. Never miss an event or competition again with our events and competition sections. Active competitions and past winners are available for all to see, so take a look and join the community today.

With so many emerging opportunities for great mobile content, you want to spend your time developing the next must-have application, not worrying about how to get it to market. The BREW Delivery System (BREW DS) lets you do just that.

With its proven success in mobile content delivery, BREW DS gives you an unequalled opportunity to generate revenue with more than 2B revenue transactions and over $2B in developer earnings as of March, 2009. The BREW DS connects you with wireless service providers via a secure extranet connection, allowing you to post applications and directly negotiate pricing with carriers who can view, evaluate and acquire your applications. The BREW DS also enables billing coordination and payment between you and the carrier. It takes the obstacles out of getting your application to market, giving you:

  • Consolidated operator settlement program
  • Security
  • Reliability
  • Quick time-to-market

Ch4 - 4iP

http://www.4ip.org.uk/

Delivering effective, high quality public service media in an increasingly digital age is still pioneer territory and a real challenge (see Ofcom's Second Public Service Broadcasting Review).

Channel 4 has decided to take up that challenge in a radical way by forming the 4 Innovation for the Public (4iP) fund.

The 4iP Fund aims to deliver publicly valuable content and services on digital media platforms with significant impact and in sustainable ways. It represents one of the biggest and most exciting calls-to-action for new and emergent digital media companies in the UK.

And for Channel 4 it's part of a critical process of evolution: from a publisher broadcaster into a multiplatform network; from a commissioner of TV programmes into an investor in original interactive media products & services
