Mobile Acuity is an exciting young software company which has recently spun out of the University of Edinburgh via Scottish Enterprise’s Proof of Concept Programme. The company has now secured funding from a London based strategic investor with additional support from a Scottish Executive SMART award. Wireless Innovation has worked extensively with the company, helping them to refine their product concepts, gain a deeper understanding of the wireless market and expand their commercial network.

Helixion Limited

Helixion Limited is leading the way in WiFi mobility for Fixed-Mobile Convergence in the development of a new software platform that offers powerful and flexible secure IP mobility.  The platform is based on next generation memory card technology which incorporates tamper-resistant silicon technology.  Fixed-Mobile Convergence operators and ICT solutions players alike are key targets for the Helixion proposition.

In early 2005, Wireless Innovation introduced Helixion to a major European network operator who has now evolved into a strategic partner for Helixion.  The relationship, has evolved to the point where co-patenting and exemplar development work has now been completed and discussions on exploitation are underway.
