Sector focussed Events, Networking and Collaboration
We are well versed in running large and small scale events. Our knowledge of the sector and experience of the challenges facing growing businesses provides us with a unique platform on which to create and execute first class events. We are proud of the events we have been involved in creating and delivering, some of which include:
Self Care in the Digital Age 2014 organised as part of the dallas programme delivered on behalf of Innovate UK. This event, run in partnership with the Kings Fund, attracted over 500 senior level individuals from across the health and social care sector including CCG’s, Commissioners, Health Boards, Public Sector organisations, Government ministers and Charities with a focus of challenging the Self-Care Agenda in the UK and positioning dallas as the instigator of change.
ETAG Technology Solutions for Tourism 2010 – 2015 where Tourism businesses in Edinburgh and Scotland’s leading digital media companies operating in this sector unite to explore collaboration opportunities.
Alba Open Doors 2013 where Technology businesses located in the Alba Innovation Centre opened their doors to key players in the Energy, Software, MedTech, Digital Media and Electronics industry to showcase their innovations.
The Turing Festival 2011 and 2012 which has now become part of the Edinburgh International Festival and attracts an audience of over 1000 technology companies from across the Globe.
Digital 2011 & 2012 Digital is one of the largest collaboration events in the Digital and Creative Industries Sector in Scotland attracting year on year approximate 500 companies from within Scotland to collaborate.
Specialist Market & Innovation Initiatives
A ground breaking initiative, Wireless Innovation was delivered by ICS with the key objective of accelerating the growth of innovative wireless and mobile technology businesses by delivering high quality business, technology and market development support. This initiative linked together the leading young high growth Wireless & Mobile technology companies with a range of international blue-chip commercial partners. The combination of WI industry experienced expertise and valuable partnerships delivered outstanding results for Wireless Innovation’s clients and provided resources for network and commercial partners and clients alike.
Over six and a half years, the team dealt with over 1000 enquiries which led to 250 client engagements and intense work with 50 high growth SMEs, many of which passed to SE account management.
Wellness and Health Innovation (WHI)
Following the successful delivery of WI, Wellness and Health Innovation was developed to help Scottish businesses capitalise on the growth potential in this sector. Delivered on behalf of SE by ICS, Wellness and Health Innovation (WHI) was a national initiative designed to support Scottish companies developing innovative products or services for the wellness and health sector. WHI fulfilled this key role by providing market intelligence, product, technology, innovation support and business development assistance to enable Scottish SMEs to produce market-ready products and services that met a clear market need.
Interactive Scotland Advisory Service (ISAS)
ISAS provided specialist support and assistance to Scottish based digital media companies including producers, creators and distribution of digital content in areas such as television, games, music, online publishing, digital marketing and user-generated content (UGC) platforms. ICS delivered the first phase of this initiative from which ended in December 2012. Through this market specialist initiative ICS engaged with over 400 businesses, many early stage technology businesses but also some more mature that had or were in the process of developing enabling technologies in the digital media sector. Our aim was to support them in the innovation of their product or service but most importantly to commercialise their ideas and help them find key partners and the right routes to market.
Expert help programmes
Our range of expertise gained through working with businesses from start-up through to growth allows us to deliver expert help programmes across a range of areas. We are currently involved in delivering the Marketing Expert and ICT programmes on behalf of Scottish Enterprise.
