Mercurytide, one of Scotland’s most innovative technology development companies, opened its new office at Hillington Park Innovation Centre recently.

The company’s Director Tamlin Roberts commented: “This is an exciting time for Mercurytide. As we continue to grow and develop, we are expanding our client base in and around Glasgow so it makes sense to respond to the needs of our clients. This office will allow us both to grow an additional development team and provide a base for West coast business. The new office will provide an ideal base for rapid expansion allowing us to scale the size of our operation to meet demand and staff availability”. Mercurytide has already made some significant successes in the West and is quickly building a reputation for the excellence it has already been delivering in the East.

After the success of www.myEdinburgh.org winning the International Tellecities Award and being hailed as an example of good practice by Becta (the British Educational Communications and Technology Agency), Mercurytide has been involved in the innovative community based website www.girvan-online.net.

This project, having run into difficulty with it previous developers, has now turned a significant corner in its bright future. The new content management system has allowed a large number of members of the community to get involved in providing content for the site as well as giving small businesses a well needed presence on the web. The simple functionality with surveys, events, news, web cameras, etc. has given the site a new lease of life.
