IT Business Forum and World Congress
The IT Business Forum and World Congress on IT is taking place in Adelaide in February, and a proposed trade mission to these events is planned.
The organisation is being handled by Trade Partners UK in conjunction with the CSSA and they are particularly keen for Scottish companies to form part of the delegation. Here's what it is about.
It incorporates five components:
1. Discover the Secrets of Australian IT Innovation Seminar Series. Find out the latest IT solutions from winners of the 'Secrets of Australian IT
Innovation' national competition.
2. High Growth Start Ups. Hear Australia's high growth start-up companies pitch for venture capital funding. (All companies are products of Australia's 11 IT incubators, funded by the Commonwealth Government's Building on IT Strengths (BITS)program.
3. Understanding Asia Pacific IT Markets Seminar Series. Identify
opportunities to do business in the Asia Pacific IT market, and learn
first-hand from key internationals and Australian IT companies that are successfully trading in the region.
4. Global Threats to IT Security Seminar Series. Learn strategies to counter cyber-terrorism and how to respond to issues of denial of service, risk of competitive attack, industrial espionage, share price manipulation and privacy legislation.
5. Business Matching An on-line service which aims to match the interests and capabilities of delegates attending WCIT2002 and the IT Business Forum.
Delegates who register for Business Matching will have the ability to perform a comprehensive and specific on-line search of other delegates registered for business matching in order to set up one-on-one meetings, group presentations and establish business relationships during the Congress week.
Here's the deal available
