Business Rate Relief

The issue of Business Rate Relief has been raised by UKBI on behalf of its members many times, particularly on the impact of the lowered Empty Property Rates threshold from £18,000 to £2,600.

An e-petition has been created to lobby Parliament for a return to that threshold so as not to inhibit new start ups and job opportunities. At least 100,000 signatures are needed to ensure that a debate can be tabled in the House of Commons.
