After consultation with Scottish small businesses in the wireless/mobile space, the Wireless Innovation Centre will be launching a Test/Demonstration Lab. This will be a unique facility available free of charge for all companies developing technologies and applications in the wireless/mobile space to come and use an extensive range of equipment and services. It also acts as a focal point to demonstrate products and solutions and to meet industry leaders in 3 main areas of technology: Mobile Applications & Content

The Lab has been identified as a much-needed resource for the Scottish development community to plug the gap in the development process that will ultimately speed up time-to-market for these companies. The Wireless Innovation Centre is best-placed to provide such an unparalleled service for wireless companies, with its hands-on business development support and links with commercial partners, many of whom are providing much sought after equipment, services and support for the Lab. Partners include companies such as Orange, T-Mobile, SUN Microsystems, Nokia, Symbol, Anritsu and Microsoft.
