AppShare is a privately held company formed with venture capital as a spin-out from Strathclyde University in Glasgow. AppShare is developing a Web-Collaboration application that will enable businesses of all sizes to eliminate the need for most employees to travel to business meetings. By keeping employees at their desk, they achieve more for the business, incur lower variable costs to the business and do far less damage to our environment. Unlike most Web-Collaboration technology, AppShare’s has been designed to minimize impact on the company’s network infrastructure and whereas our competitors’ products will typically max-out any company’s Internet connection and hammer the internal network in the process, AppShare’s doesn’t.
