Heriot-Watt has a reputation in business for innovation, quality, expertise, knowledge transfer and world-class research and the University’s heritage is one of providing solutions to the challenges of the day.
In recognition of this, the Heriot-Watt’s Industry Day will showcase the University as a leader in science, technology, engineering and mathematics by demonstrating the contributions it makes in providing relevant solutions in the area of risk.
Risk management is an integral part of today's society and encompasses preventative contingencies against the threat of environmental, financial and technological crises. The industry day will bring together Heriot-Watt's leading academics and research experts, government and industrial authorities and professional colleagues in industry to identify the key issues, hear of industry's experience and learn how the University has responded to business needs by providing innovative solutions for the effective reduction and management of risk.
The aim of the day is to stimulate debate across a range of disciplines in the management of risk and to discuss the many ways of how we can work together in future collaborations that provide opportunities to mitigate the challenges of risk.
