BACKGROUND

The recent Digital Britain report highlights the tremendous opportunity the UK has in taking the leadership position in Wireless and Mobile globally. The key to unlocking this potential is to make the right commercial and technical decisions for the UK that leads towards the development and deployment of new wireless and mobile services. This drives investment in developing new equipment, services and applications for our industry to exploit locally and globally.

Wireless Communications is the global industry that underpins the growth of the Digital Media and ICT industries. This workshop will provide companies who develop, adopt and deploy Wireless and Mobile services and applications, the opportunity to hear about the evolutions taking place across this sector including Broadband Wireless and the opportunity to give input on your interests and business needs.

Our presenters will share their views for  future broadband wireless technologies and services followed by all attendees being invited to join the debate to help formulate a future roadmap of services and applications by joining the three special interest workshops:

  • Cooperative networks
  • Optimising radio spectrum usage
  • Small Cell Networks
