Photon 08 Industry and Technology Program

Aug 08 26 Start: 10:45 End: 17:15

Sign up for this year’s premier UK photonics exhibition and conference, Photon08.

We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for the Industry and Technology Programme at Photon, the UK's premier conference in Optics and Photonics, taking place at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh from 26-29 August this year.

The ITP is broken down into 3 major exciting themes:-
Day 1 Growing your company through funding opportunities
Day 2 UK and Worldwide roadmapping plus photovoltaics for energy production
Day 3 Future technologies for broadband technology, defence and high power lasers

The aim of the ITP is to invoke discussion on each session’s main industry focus both at present and also where technology is predicted to head in the next 5-10 years.

The ITP has been designed to synchronize with the Academic Programme to allow interchange of attendance between parallel sessions.

In order to promote these discussions we have selectively invited companied from around the UK to present on past successes and the future direction within their industry.

Attendance at the ITP is £90 a day for UKCPO/IOP members and £120 for non-members.

Photon (www.photon.org.uk) was hugely successful attracting almost 600 delegates in 2006. It comprises:

Industry Technology Programme, aimed at engineers & physicists in the photonics industry
Exhibition of the latest optics and photonics technological innovations
Biennial conference of the Optics and Photonics Division of the Institute of Physics
Biennial conference of the Quantum Electronics and Photonics Group of the Institute of Physics.

Details on the ITP and exhibition are also available at www.optoelectronics.org.uk For more details on the conference, ITP programme and exhibition and to register on-line, please visit www.photon.org.uk
