Digital Signal Processing in Communications
Digital Signal Processing in Communications - A Joint DC-KTN and DSP Scotland Event Tuesday 3 June 2008 The Western Club 32 Royal Exchange Square, Glasgow, G1 3AB
Digital Communications is a vital component of the UK economy. It is a key enabler for telecommunications, broadcasting and ICT and a transformational technology in such areas as energy, the environment, assisted living, health and transport.
The Digital Communications Knowledge Transfer Network (DC-KTN) has been established, with funding from the Technology Strategy Board, to create competitive advantage for the UK by facilitating the exchange of knowledge and accelerating innovation in the sector. This event, organised jointly with DSP Scotland, will introduce the DC-KTN, address industry needs in respect of Digital Signal Processing in communications and initiate a road mapping exercise.
The Programme includes a presentation on collaborative opportunities offered by EU Framework Programme 7, and a focussed Panel session where keynote industry representatives will offer their views on future directions that will contribute to the development of a roadmap for the sector with the objective of influencing future policies. There will also be ample opportunities for networking with colleagues from industry, government agencies and academia.
Attendance is free, but pre-registration is essential as numbers are strictly limited. Please email info@dcktn.org.uk to request a place. Membership of the DC-KTN is free, and attendees are encouraged to register as members at www.dcktn.org.uk.
