Project XYZ - A Wireless Communications Test-Bed for Scotland
Project XYZ is one of Scottish Enterprise’s Priority Industries key projects delivered by Scottish Enterprise Edinburgh and Lothians and is focussed on building a wide area, state-ofthe-art, next generation wireless test network for Scotland. The purpose of the network is to create an environment where a range of users and developers, both industry and academia,can develop and validate emerging products and applications using leading-edge wireless technologies.
The outline objectives of the network is to provide a neutral Wireless test network that is ableto simulate realistic multimedia traffic and enable product and application validation in ‘real’ live environments. In addition, the network is aiming to provide an ecosystem that fosters leading knowledge share and transfer, encouraging greater collaboration between industry partners and with academia.If your company is involved in developing or using Wireless, Mobile, Gaming or Digital Mediasolutions, products, technologies or applications, and are interested in being involved with thisinitiative, Scottish Enterprise, Wireless Innovation and the Project XYZ Consortium invite you to this free seminar. At the event you will hear and learn about the proposed plans for this initiative. You will also have the opportunity to discuss your company needs and influence the proposed structureand use of the network.
