Bridgeall started their life in the Hillington Park Innovation Centre with a small team of 2 people and grew that team to 30 full time employees when they graduated from the Innovation Centre at the start of 2015.
Bridgeall is a leading IT development and IT services company delivering and supporting solutions on Microsoft Dynamics CRM, SharePoint, .Net and the Microsoft Cloud. A forward thinking business, Bridgeall encourage their employees to contribute their ideas to an Innovation Portal which the directors regularly review and select the successful ones to prototype.
In 2007 Bridgeall created an associated business called Bridgeall Libraries to focus on a product they designed and built to support and host smartsm/collectionHQ, a Cloud-based demand analytics solution for public libraries. By December 2011 over 6,500 libraries across the UK, USA and Australia used the service when the spin-off business was sold to a US firm in 2011. Bridgeall Libraries has continued to expand and still operates out of the Hillington Park Innovation Centre.
When asked why the founding directors decided to locate their start up business from the Hillington Park Innovation Centre they said, “The Innovation Centre turned out to be a very business-friendly environment in which to operate. It offered high quality office accommodation with flexible terms, allowing the company to scale up (and down) in terms of space as needed, whilst not tying the company into a long lease. It provided access to professional advisers through the team at Innovation Centres Scotland who could offer help with a range of issues: from how to gain grant funding and government support to obtaining legal advice on matters such as intellectual property. We also relied heavily on recruiting the best people to achieve our growth ambitions, and the location of the Innovation Centre, with easy road access and within minutes’ drive of several excellent universities helped us with this. One of the key things we miss now that we’ve graduated is the culture of the Innovation Centre, there was always a real buzz about the place!”
