A representative from Scottish Enterprise sits on the ICS Advisory Board. Alba Innovation Centre (AIC) works closely with Scottish Enterprise on an operational basis, ensuring where appropriate that AIC’s target companies are directed and referred towards the Centre, and working with Scottish Enterprise on technology projects.

Scottish Enterprise also provides specific business support budgets which can be accessed by AIC companies through the advisory support team.

West Lothian Council (WLC) is a strong supporter of the Alba Innovation Centre, having campaigned for many years to have an innovation centre for young technology companies within Livingston.

WLC’s commitment falls under the West Lothian Strategic Action Plan which has also assisted the Centre’s finances through EU funding.

Operationally Alba Innovation Centre works closely with WLC in trying to attract the right type of companies into the Centre and providing co-ordinated support to them for certain activities.
