Travel Directions
By car from the East
Leave the M8 at junction 3. Stay in the left hand lane and exit from the slip road up to the A899 dual carriageway (sign posted Livingston Town Centre). Pass Houston Interchange, Cousland Interchange. When you reach the Lizzie Brice's roundabout, turn right on to A71 (sign posted West Calder). At Newpark roundabout, turn right. At the next roundabout, take the second exit (straight ahead). At Almondvale roundabout, turn left into Charlesfield Road (sign posted Alba Centre). This will lead you to Rosebank roundabout and the Alba Campus is directly in front of you. Proceed straight through Rosebank roundabout, then at the next small roundabout, take the second exit (straight on). At the next small roundabout turn left. The entrance to the Alba Innovation Centre is at the end of the road on the right hand side.
By car from the West
Leave the M8 at junction 3a. At the roundabout at the top of the slip road, take the first exit (sign posted Livingston Centre). At the Boghall roundabout, take the first exit (sign posted Livingston / Mid Calder). At the next roundabout, take the first exit on to the A779 Starlaw Road (Alba Centre is sign posted). Follow the A779 to the Tailend roundabout, taking the third exit (sign posted Town Centre / St John's Hospital) and this will take you to the Toll roundabout. Take the second exit down to a set of traffic lights and turn right on to the Simpson Parkway (Alba Centre is sign posted). Follow this road through several sets of traffic lights until you reach the Rosebank roundabout. The Aba Campus is on your right. Take the third exit (turning right) into the Alba Campus, then at the next small roundabout, take the second exit (straight on). At the next small roundabout turn left. The entrance to the Alba Innovation Centre is at the end of the road on the right hand side.
New Rail Link Now Open
THE NEW £300 Million Glasgow - Edinburgh (via Airdrie / Bathgate) rail link has opened to passenger services despite the recent severe weather conditions. Completed on time and to budget, the new route will allow passengers to travel direct from Uphall, Livingston North, Bathgate, Armadale and Blackridge to Edinburgh, Airdrie, Coatbridge, Glasgow, Milngavie and Helensburgh.
