Many growing businesses reach the point where they want to expand their relationships overseas to increase sales or to source manufacturing internationally. This move can present you with many questions from identifying markets and finding the appropriate research, through to creating good partnerships and handling cultural differences around the globe.

Hillington Park Innovation Centre has invited three highly knowledgable speakers to give you valuable insights into doing business overseas from both a selling and a manufacturing perspective.

Our three speakers will deliver presentations covering international marketing and be able to answer your questions on how you could grow your business internationally.

Design and Manufacture Overseas
by David Yuedall (Infinity DPM)

David has over 30 years experience in “ground up” product design ranging from industrial and concept design studies, through to final product manufacture and support. He specialises in electro-mechanical products and systems and has spent his career managing multi-disciplinary teams including mechanical, electronic and software engineers.

Internationally, David has a deep understanding of managing customer relationships world wide including USA, Europe, China and Taiwan.

Bringing product ideas to market quickly and efficiently is a key strength for David and three of his product designs won John Logie Baird Awards for innovation. One high profile design (the iLimb Prosthetic Hand) won a Silver Award in the Wall Street Journal 2009 Technology Innovation Awards when he headed up the team of electro-mechanical designers and prosthetics engineers.

Business Opportunities in China
by Dai Daihong (China Connect)

Dai has extensive experience with growing business in China and will provide a deep dive into how your business can engage with the huge Chinese market.

China can often be seen as a complex and unknown market for many foreign companies – especially SMEs. There’s a lot of information to understand when assessing market entry such as language, culture, as well as the dynamic economic and political environment.

Dai’s presentation will help you understand China’s current market landscape and business opportunities, as well as the Chinese ways of doing business based on the latest ‘Canton Fair’ visiting experience.
